For Ornellaia, being sustainable and responsible is first a duty to society as well as to the area where our vines grow, our people work and their families live.
A THIRST TO DO THE RIGHT THING AND UPHOLD BALANCE
Ornellaia obtained the “Sustainable Organization” certification in compliance with the SODP Equalitas standard in 2021.
We have taken a new look at our way of doing things, but above all we are changing our way of thinking in order to keep improving and be ever more sustainable while creating value through the quality of our wines.
Sustainability, for us, is thus a tangible commitment and respect for the future.
Sustainable viticulture is an integral part of these plans and blends with the longevity of the local economy, quality production and an appreciation of the history, culture and landscape in the Bolgheri area.
WINE AND THE COMMUNITY
Looking after the local area also means constantly striving to improve the conditions of the people who live and work here, supporting social activities beyond the boundaries of the estate. It means producing excellence while preserving the natural resources for future generations and studying the best methods to have the least possible impact on the environment.
In 2021, Ornellaia having been certified, the Sustainability Report was compiled for the first time, a document that lays the foundations for reflections on the journey taken, the progress made and the next challenges.
